My name is Crysta (Fladland) Parkinson, I’m 27, a
busy wife and mother. (Who knew kids could be so active?) Much of our
spare time these days is spent on Brownies (Girl Scouts), Cub Scouts,
dance, piano…there’s always something interesting going on at our house!
I grew up in western Washington – specifically
Blaine, Washington, which is right on the border between Washington
state and Canada, on the Pacific Ocean.
When I’m not
chasing after my family, I’m writing – whether it is for work (I’m the
Managing Editor of the daily newspaper here, the Williston Herald) or
personal consumption. I write a little bit of absolutely everything –
and I usually have at least half a dozen projects going on at any given
time.
These days I live in
Williston, North Dakota, a town of about 15,000 people on the
western edge of North Dakota, with my husband, an amazing Kiwi named
Justin, and my
three kids – Cameron, Maia and Ella Rose. I also have two
step-children, Matthew and Aleisha, who live in New Zealand with their
mother, Michelle.
Williston is a great little community we have
really grown to love in the time we’ve been here. Here is more
